In keeping with the tradition of talking about and taking each step of our relationship, via text or sms.....

If my 'military-style' planning has gone according to plan (and if you *haven't* skipped this thread!)...then you should be able to turn and see me staring intently at the TV screen.
I can assure you, I have NO idea what the programme is about.
My concentration is focused on trying to contain the sound of my thumping heartbeat and also trying to not shit myself through nervousness, all over our lovely sofa!

I just wanted to tell you how much I love you....

I love your gentle ways, your mind, your schoolboy sense of humour, the way you laugh with me at my toilet-humour without being grossed-out...
I love the way you (we) take time when making love, never rushed, always exciting. Dispelling all past-doubts about being be able to trust a man again, clear out of my mind...
I love everything about you...the way you see beauty in the everyday things, such as buildiings and other normal geographical or man-made stuff that most people (including me!) would have just walked by...the way you have taught me to appreciate the beauty in my own town...many times have I even slowed-down the bus as I go by the runway, in a hope of catching a plane as it either lifts-off or lands just feet away from me.
I love your eye for photography, and detail. Your dedication to your site and the time taken over each piccie. Your site's reputation built on it's standards for only using high quality pics. I can't tell you how proud I was to hear Melanie's management call it "one of the originals"...
I love the way you humour my madness, yet you don't take any of my shit...when you give me that " " look, everytime I threaten to cut-off my hair...and then you just crease-up with laughter as I try every which way I can think of to get you to agree that it needs cutting...
I love that when I leave for work in the mornings, the bed-covereings are normal, yet by the time I'm back from work, I find the duvet on the floor, upside-down AND back to front. The mind boggles!
I love your sensitivity to all things. When I catch you wiggling your toes rapidly in an attempt to distract yourself, when there's something emotional on TV...and then you laugh at ME, blubbing next to you!(you think I don't see that huh?)
I love the way my parents and family have taken to you. The way my younger brother takes great pleasure in thrashing you on the PS2...yet you always come back for more.
I love the 'work-ethic' that I've developed in myself since being with you. The 'wanting' to work, knowing the rewards and feeling the independence of being my own person and taking care of my own affairs, without relying on another. The feeling of joy at being able to treat the man I love on special occassions, the knowledge of having earned every penny through hard work...

In the past 20-odd months of knowing each other, you've shown me a life (and love) that I never knew, and a happiness I never thought I could experience.

Each time I hear George Michael's song "Amazing", I get tears in my eyes. (which isn't good when I'm on the bus btw!)
Those words could have been written by me..they are exactly the way I feel about being with you...
"I guess that Cupid was in disguise, the day you walked-in and changed my life.
I think it's amazing, the way that love can set you free.
And now I walk in the midday sun, I never thought that my saviour would come.
I think it's amazing.
.
.
.I think you're amazing"

Incase you STILL haven't got the 'jist' of this thread, I guess I just wanna say...
I Love You Chris...

To everyone else: PLEASE don't trash my thread! (at least till I have Chris' answer...)

And there I was thinking you were sitting there so quiet was because the latest adventures of Graham Norton had you totally engrossed...

All through my life it seemed as if the universe had no intention of letting me find anyone to share my life with. Plenty of women said they loved me as a friend, none of them simply said I love you. I was beginning to get used to the idea that I'd be spending the rest of my life surrounded by some of the closest of friends anyone could hope to have, but never with that one special someone who'd be closer than any friend could be. And when I first met you and so quickly realised how well we got on, I hoped you would become one of those close friends, because I knew we could never be anything more.

This is one of those times in life when I'm happy, nay, ecstatic, to be able to admit that I was well and truly wrong.

In the year and a bit since our friendship turned into something more, you've brought so much happiness into my life, I can't imagine how life would be without you, and I don't ever want the opportunity to find out. Our entire relationship has been one giant learning experience for me, every day we're together I'm setting foot in ever more new and uncharted territory, and yet it all feels so completely natural, like it was meant to be. I've found my soulmate, my partner for life, the woman who fills the gap in my life and makes me feel complete.

And besides, that hamster is just too damned cute...

So how can my answer be anything other than yes.
